The Agawam Cultural Council sponsors "Plan Your Own Day" bus trips to New York City twice a year. Our current trip (with only one bus traveling) is scheduled for Saturday, November 16th, 2019.
Buses travel NON-STOP, are equipped with restroom facilities, and are usually Wi-Fi capable. Experience your choice of NYC activities such as museums, plays and other cultural events, street festivals, shopping, sight-seeing and more! A member of the Cultural Council acts as leader on each bus, and is available to help with information and suggestions.
Our buses make five scheduled stops in Manhattan:
- The Metropolitan Museum of Art / Central Park
- Rockefeller Center / Radio City
(plus the Christmas Spectacular! )
- Times Square area/ Broadway TKTS Booth
- 34th Street / Macy's/ Empire State Building ... and lastly,
- South Street / Seaport / Seaport Museum
(another TKTS booth nearby, and walking distance to the Brooklyn Bridge, Chinatown/ Little Italy, Wall Street/ Trinity Church, the Staten Island Ferry, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Ferries, and the Vietnam and 9/11 Memorial* sites. A FREE Lower Manhattan shuttlebus stops at these sites and more. Details can be found here. A FREE NextBus app is available. )
Riders may elect to get off at any of our scheduled stops.

* NOTE: The 9/11 Memorial and Museum is NOT one of our scheduled stops.
Pre-purchased ticketed entry to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum is strongly recommended. However, due to unpredictable traffic conditions in Manhattan, those planning to visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum are advised to not seek ticketed entry that is scheduled before 11:00 A.M.
