Big Apple Trips each Spring and Fall

Sadly, due to rising transportation costs,
the Council has decided to forego
our November bus trip to New York City.

We apologize for any inconvenience,
and hope to resume our trips next May.

Our next trip is scheduled for May, 2023.
( exact date still to be determined )
Tickets should become available March 15th, 2023.
All information, including available stops,
may be subject to change prior to ticket availability.
IMPORTANT: Due to interstate pandemic restrictions, all persons are still required to be masked at all times
while on board the bus.

The Agawam Cultural Council sponsors "Plan Your Own Day" bus trips to New York City twice a year. Our next trip (with only one bus traveling) is scheduled for Saturday, May 7th, 2022.
Buses travel NON-STOP, are equipped with restroom facilities, and are usually Wi-Fi capable. Experience your choice of NYC activities such as museums, plays and other cultural events, street festivals, shopping, sight-seeing and more! A member of the Cultural Council acts as leader on each bus, and is available to help with information and suggestions.
Our buses make several scheduled stops in Manhattan,
in a combination of the following (TBD):
- The Metropolitan Museum of Art / Central Park
- Rockefeller Center / Radio City
(incl. the Christmas Spectacular! )
- Times Square area / Broadway TKTS Booth
- 34th Street / Macy's / Empire State Building
Riders may elect to get off at any of our scheduled stops.
NOTE: Due to Federally mandated driver time constraints, we are no longer able to travel to the South Street Seaport/ Lower Manhattan area -- our customary final stop.
Passengers wishing to travel to Lower Manhattan must seek alternate transportation south from 34th Street.

* NOTE: The 9/11 Memorial and Museum is NOT one of our scheduled stops.
Pre-purchased ticketed entry to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum is strongly recommended. However, due to unpredictable traffic conditions in Manhattan, those planning to visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum are advised to not seek ticketed entry that is scheduled before 11:00 A.M.

The current ticket price is still to be determined.
(Due to rising bus costs, the Council has been forced to raise the price of tickets for this event.)
The price will apply to residents and non-residents alike.

This is a very popular trip, so ticket requests should be mailed as early as possible, once tickets become available.
PLEASE NOTE: Seats CANNOT normally be reserved by phone.
(except for the Waiting List -- see instructions below)

To secure your seat(s), unless you have been instructed to do
otherwise, please send a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope with your check made out to the "Agawam Cultural Council" to:

Agawam Cultural Council
153 Anthony Street
Agawam, MA 01001

IMPORTANT: We will be unable to return tickets to patrons who have not included a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope. We appreciate your attention to this request.

Normally, your tickets would be mailed to you shortly after we received
your check and Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope.
HOWEVER, because the pandemic has thrown everything into flux, we cannot gauge how many of our patrons may actually wish to go on this trip. Therefore, we are requesting that all patrons include a phone number or e-mail address with their check. This is to allow us to confirm receipt of your check, which we will hold until April 25th. If we do not secure enough riders to support the cost of the trip, we will return your check to you in the self-addressed stamped envelope. If the trip is going forward, your tickets will be mailed to you in your SASE on April 25th.

CANCELLATION -- Tickets are NOT refundable.
If you purchase tickets and are unable to attend the trip, we can return your money only if we are able to re-sell your seat to someone else, or if the trip has sold out by the time your check arrives.
