Special Projects
(Historic)
We've had a lot of fun over the past several years presenting such popular events as:
Our Big Band Dinner Dance - to benefit the ACC's "Give Back to the Community" efforts.
A Musical Petting Zoo - Musicians from the Springfield Symphony bring a hands-on demonstration of their instruments to Agawam Kindergartners!
Sadly, due to increased fees, we are no longer able to fund this event.
FOREIGN FILM FESTIVAL Spring 2008

Our first film festival was a great success with hundreds of movie lovers joining us for special showings at the Agawam Family Cinemas.
GREAT MUSICALS FILM FESTIVAL (2009)

AMERICAN CLASSICS FILM FESTIVAL (2009)

35mm films, shown on the big screen
The Agawam Cultural Council has sponsored a variety of Classic Film Festivals featuring critically acclaimed classic Hollywood and Foreign films. Ticket prices for the Sunday afternoon showings were just $6 per ticket, which included complimentary desserts and coffee before the show. There was also a free drawing held for door prizes at each showing. All showings were held at the Agawam Family Cinemas (now the restored Agawam Cinemas), 866 Suffield Street, Agawam.
GAELIC STORM CONCERT 2003 and 2004

Over 450 people from throughout the northeast visited Agawam for our first non-summer concert event. We brought them back for another near sell out performance the following spring. Both programs were presented in conjunction with the Agawam St. Pat's Committee.
Wine Tasting, Silent Auction and Art Auction Fall 2003

Crestview Country Club was a perfect setting for our first wine-tasting and auction which featured 16 wines from four countries. The Agawam Community Artists presented their work and many donations were auctioned off from area arts organizations. We are planning this year's event right now!

Ryan Mulkern and his friend, Cara Nittler (flute) perform for the Agawam Cultural Council at the awards meeting. Mr. Mulkern plays several instruments and is a member of the Springfield Symphony Youth Orchestra.
